According to Dr. Fons Trompenaars, culture is â€Å"the shared ways in which groups of people understand and interpret the world.† (as cited in Kneebone, 2007, pg. 2) Every individual is different in their own kind of way, but being a part of a certain culture is more of a way to be considered different. There is no wrong way to believe in something or value something and I Know as an American, other cultures or maybe even other Americans might not have the same beliefs and values as I. The Chinese and Italian cultures are both two different cultures that both follow their own way of life, they share similar and different traditions when it comes to their pregnancy and childbirth process. Also with eating, if a Chinese woman eats any pale foods then there is a chance the baby might come out pale as a result.
